What is the financial investment required to purchase a franchise?

What qualifications are you looking for in a franchisee candidate?

Franchisee candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience in managing a conventional supermarket, along with a college/university degree or equivalent. Many of our stores operate in bilingual communities, so is these instances we require our franchisee to be bilingual as well.

Do you sponsor sports teams?

In many communities the local franchisee will sponsor a child's sport team. Baseball, soccer and minor hockey are the main sports however they have also sponsored ringette, lacrosse and football depending on the market. The key is that the sponsorship is geared to children's sports. Please contact the local owner to ascertain their interest in sponsoring your team.

What charities does Independent Grocer support?

The local franchisee decides which charities he/she will support based on the needs of the individual community. As a small business, an Independent business, a Your Independent Grocer owner will need to allocate limited resources based on the needs of the community.

Whom do I contact to determine interest in supporting a fundraising event?

All of our franchisees are big supporters of local fundraising activities. Just contact the local owner and ask to meet with him/her to discuss your event.
